ImageFolio Zoomify Plug-In for ImageFolio Pro 4.x and ImageFolio Commerce 4.x
Allows your users to zoom-and-pan your hi-res images, within ImageFolio.
Zoomify is a plug-in for ImageFolio to make images 'zoomable', as well as a 'viewer' that web site visitors use to zoom-and-pan within a 'zoomified' image.
The ImageFolio Zoomify Plug-In works by dicing an image into many pieces or 'tiles' - as in a mosaic.
The ImageFolio Zoomify Plug-In performs this dicing on many versions of the image, each at a different resolution or size.
The result is a pyramid of tiles which a web site visitor can navigate within to view any part of the image at any level of zoom.
Viewing is fast and interactive because each view that the visitor zooms and pans to involves the download of only a small number of image tiles, each of which is small in size.
No special server or client software is needed. You may have seen this type of technology on mapping and satellite imaging websites. Now you can have it built into your copy of either ImageFolio Pro or Commerce.
There is no limit to the file size or pixel dimension of the source image. A 20MB file can be zoomed just as fast as a 1MB file. In fact, the higher the resolution of your image, the more fantastic the results.
Zoomify conversion is built into the latest copy of iBULC (ImageFolio's Batch Upload Component). You do not need any third party products to convert your images. Just upload your images as normal and they will be zoomified on the fly, and ready immediately upon upload completion.
